That would be nice

The Warrior Posts: 3,035 Group: Global Moderators Member #680 Joined: November 7, 2008	Supposedly it has been confirmed that Ash's father will be revealed during the course of the Diamond and Pearl seasons of the show. I'm not 100% sure it is true, but it would be an interesting character development for Ash (for the first time in years). I think the only mention of Ash's father so far is in the second episode where Ash's mother says something about him not even being able to get to Viridian City or something. She says that she told him about Ash setting out on his journey and that he's proud (if I remember rightly). By this I think we can only assume that Ash does know who his father is, but that he just doesn't see him for some reason. In my opinion it is either just laziness on the part of the writers because they can't be bothered coming up with a character for him, or it is because the main characters in the games have no fathers (both are quite likely)

The True Site Creator Posts: 1,090 Group: ADMIN Member #2 Joined: December 1, 2007	hmmm, i guess that since ash is the main character, and because there has only been one or two mentions of his father out of all the pokemon episodes so far, if he were to ever be revealed, he will not be your average pokemon character.... either he would be one of the greatest masters....or he may have gone over to... the dark side but it would be great to see who his father really was though

He was never around for Tyson because of his job. He was always travelling. Ash's father could be another Pokemon researcher or something like that, where his job keeps him away from his family. There is also the chance that he's dead... and Ash's mother went to his grave to tell him or something. Hopefully if we do see Ash's father then it will lead to some long awaited character development for Ash anyway.

Unfortunately, he got this wild idea to make a watch for his....poke pals.... and thus, the Poketch was made. He forgot about his dear wife in Pallet Town (I always think of her as a Mandy) and remarried. The End.
	Things are not always how they seem...
