They didn't stop because it was losing money. It was Nickolodeons most high rated show, it's awesome. They stopped because they already had it planned out. They had an ending. It was supposed to end, didn't you get that from the finality of the last episodes? If it was discontinued, the series would have come to an abrupt end like InuYasha, without a proper finale. (By the way I do realise that Avatar is not like InuYasha because it isn't like a proper anime and isn't based on manga but it is still amazing) |

I meant to add that I think the live action movie is probably gonna suck. (Although not as bad as the Dragonball movie coming up.) I think that the story is too epic for them to fit in, even if they made it last three and a half hours (which they won't because it will probably be aimed at kids and they don't like sitting down for that long. |

This is just copied and pasted info on the movies: On January 8, 2007, Paramount Pictures' MTV Films and Nickelodeon Movies announced that they have signed M. Night Shyamalan to write, direct and produce a trilogy of live-action films based on the series; the first of these films will encompass the main characters' adventures in Book One. The film was in a dispute with James Cameron's film Avatar regarding title ownership, which resulted in the film being titled The Last Airbender. It is set for release on July 2, 2010. Filming will begin in Philadelphia in May 2009, and it will also be shot in Greenland. Shyamalan was attracted to the spiritual themes in the series. Avatar co-creators Mike DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko have come forward to voice their opinion within an interview regarding M. Night Shyamalan writing, directing and producing the film. The two displayed much enthusiasm over Shyamalan's decision for the adaptation, stating that they admire his work and, in turn, he respects their material. M. Night Shyamalan said he will write the second film while preparing to shoot the first. |

By the way I've changed my mind from what I said up above. I now think that it'll be brilliant (as long as the actors playing the main characters are at least quite good, it is long anough, and isn't aimed at little kids). If they're doing it as a movie of each Book, then the third will be incredible!

what about Zuko? He still has to find his mom, aren't they gonna explain what happened to her? I mean I'm sure a lot of people are curious unless they said and I missed it. But still, Zuko asked the ex fire loard were his mother was but stopped before he could answer, do they not want people to know or something? |

I don't think you need to know. I think it is assumed that Zuko finds out where she is and goes to rescue her. The end.

Me too. I doubt it will be as good, but I hope that it is at least not terrible. I don't want another Dragonball-esque failure. |
